Kelly DeBrosse

License Number: C21415

Kelly would tell you she is from Alaska, though she has lived here in North Carolina since 1996. She was raised in Soldotna Alaska and has strong ties to the area through her love of outdoors from hiking, sightseeing, fishing and any other outdoor activity. As a youth Kelly vowed to leave the cold and find her way on her own. In 1993 she left AK and landed at John Brown University in AR. The next few years traveling and applying to colleges seemed a routine thing as her new husband was transferred almost annually from Phoenix, to Newport, to Charlotte and finally Raleigh. In 1996 they settled in North Carolina where they had two amazing daughters and continued to enjoy the incredible 4 seasons that NC has to offer. Making it their home and having been working from home herself with Wachovia Securities Kelly was still searching for her passion. She had always been one that friends and family would turn to with troubles. Finding solutions was a forte she was proud of. To be able to help another person through a difficult time by listening, learning, asking questions and providing an outline that helped make decisions that were thoroughly thought out was definitely an ingrained passion for her. Ironically, she had also a background in marketing and advertising. It was in 2003 that Kelly began taking the real estate classes and within days her heart had found a home. The competition was fierce, the learning curve was significant and yet every day she felt an electricity of energy as she made goals and met them. There is a common saying in real estate “even a turkey can fly in a hurricane”. Well, Kelly flew and within 3 years she had a medium sized team and was # 26 in her MLS in sales. This was an enormous accomplishment followed of course by the bubble bursting and a drought of happy home sellers. A difficult switch to say the least. Meeting people was more geared toward helping them out of a bad situation rather than the more appealing sellers that are excited to go to their next destination. The years following were just as memorable for her and the team. Through compassion, some free work and lots of laughs and tears they pushed through the harder years and proudly improved their services as well. Among some of the adornments and accolades 9 years in a row of being A Top Producing Team, Club awards for Sales #s, the prestigious Angie’s list awards for 5 years running, multiple peer awards, all of which can be found online. When asked though what her proudest accomplishment has been you would think she never sold any homes for a living. “I would say my proudest accomplishments have been when my clients are Happy whether that means sale or no sale. In this business you don’t know how great of an agent (or not) that you have until you need them. That is when the best shine bright their brightest.” Now, in her 15th year of Real Estate Kelly says that her reputation among agents is key, trust within the industry means deals get done. She said if she has any complaints it’s that she needs more inventory! You can rest assured whether it is for yourself or someone you know, Kelly and her team are agents that do what they say, say what they do, advise but not dictate, bringing Buyers and Sellers together “Making Happy Homes Across the Triangle”.

Debbie Boosinger

Real Estate Broker

License Number: 224878

Debbie has lived in four different states in her life. Kentucky is her state of birth however she was raised in a small home in Indiana in the big city of Indianapolis. There is where she met and married her high school sweet heart while they were attending college at Purdue University. Her first child was born in 1974, a beautiful baby girl. But the blessings were not over! Their second child was born in 1978 and again they had another beautiful baby girl. Life was a bit rough during the early 1980’s and her husband was laid off from work and unable to locate employment. During that time you couldn’t even get a job at McDonalds! But they were survivors. Not about to let this time get them down John, her husband, began looking for work in other states. This led to a job in Oregon. He began work in Oregon and over the next 6 months Debbie finalized the sale of their home and planned to join him. During his time in Oregon he was offered a job in Alaska. Having always wanted to go to Alaska it was a dream come true for him. So, change of plans. Rolling with the punches off Debbie went with nothing but clothes, a TV for the girls, and the all so necessary microwave. As you can imagine life in Alaska was much different than the city life Debbie had been raised in. But after a very short period of time she discovered that she not only loved being in Alaska and all it had to offer, she actually thrived during her time there. Learning new things was never daunting to Debbie so hiking, camping, hunting, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, and four wheeling were things she never would have gotten to do in the big city. The two girls also became proficient at all the above as well. But as children do, they grew up. Both eventually moved to the ‘lower 48’ as Alaskans call it. They began their own lives and Debbie and John became grandparents! The joy of that was indescribable. The opportunity arose for Debbie and John to move to the same city as the grandchildren. Of course that was an opportunity that wasn’t going to get missed. So off they went to the beautiful city of Raleigh, NC. Though NC is nothing at all like Alaska, it has a beauty all of its own. The ability to be at, within a three hour drive, the seaside or the mountains is a big draw for many people and so it was for Debbie. And all the lush greenery. In Alaska the trees are scrawny because of the short growing season. And the southern charm of the locals was so sweet. The big change was moving, but another big change would be employment. Something she had thought about as a young mother was going in to real estate but life had taken her a different direction. This was a second opportunity to make that dream a reality. She was licensed in 2008 and in the first 6 months in the business she sold as many homes as the average agent sells in one year. Helping people had always been her way. In Alaska she had been an administrator of a medical clinic of three physicians, three midlevel providers, lab, x-ray, minor surgery, was on the IVF team and was the patient representative. In addition there were twenty two other employees, mostly women. Among all those duties she also became the in-house counselor for the employees and physicians, the office machinery repair person, and overall problem solver which suit her personality to a tee. So the transition to real estate was a snap in that regards. Helping people, check. Problem solver, check. People person, check. Great listener, check. In her spare time Debbie loves to make quilts. This hobby began in Alaska as well as doing all sorts of crafts. She also enjoys, movies, boating, reading, and recently learned to scuba dive! She doesn’t like to exercise though…..but if she must the gym is where she heads.

Sherry Ray

Designer, Owner ZZPD

Sherry Ray was born in Rockingham North Carolina. She moved around extensively growing up. Always being the new girl, Sherry spent much of her childhood meeting new people in all walks of life. Her way of coping with the change and "alone" time was to read, sketch, and watch old movies with her mom. After graduating high school in Michigan, Sherry found her way back home to North Carolina where she attended college for art. In her studies she found solace in painting and sculpture. Her love for art was key to her happiness but still she wanted to more with her passion for interiors. She discovered a nearby college, East Carolina University, that offered an accredited course in interior design. While attending ECU, she discovered a whole new passion that tapped into her talents and natural skills. Sherry finds joy assisting other people with their environments as she believes that the environment in which people live, work, play, greatly influences productivity, emotional wellbeing and overall happiness. Sherry joined Team Kelly DeBrosse in August 2012 as an interior staging and photography specialist. Her background was perfect for the ever changing market of real estate. She brings energy, youth, a fresh breath to every home she works her magic in. Although it may sound as though her main strength is decor she is also extremely detail oriented and an "outside the box" thinker. She enjoys a challenge and makes it her personal goal to present a final show case product that will capture any onlookers attention. When not working, Sherry loves to spend time with her two pit bulls Ebi & ZuZu. Sherry enjoys traveling to places that she can take the girls to enjoy the great outdoors. The mountains and the beach are their favorite places to go. While in the mountains Sherry loves taking long hikes with the girls and gets great joy from the happiness the girls show while roaming around the mountain side. At the beach Sherry loves to paddle board and watch Ebi & ZuZu swim around with big smiles on their faces. When not spending time with her girls, Sherry likes to hang out with her close friends of which she considers family. Going out to eat and having a few drinks is the perfect setting for catching up and exchanging every day conversation with friends. Sherry also loves movies old and new, comedy and adventure are her favorite genres but nothing beats great classic movies that evoke timeless style and nostalgia.
